falkreath

Falkreath in the spring.

they are never far behind

Eyes on the skies, Dovahkiin.

run between houses

that feeling is called

azure supremacy

Got to do some azuristics, but sometimes you also gotta turn away from the light.

word of fire

Aggressive cold puppy. We took turns spelling ire out with fire.

New Lands

new lands © justice

azure injection

Kind of like a soul-microscope look at the interior of a soulgem.

To The End of Bad Dreams

Stubborn elder, it was a long fight you know?

I was not unhappy to watch him perish.

fleet footlaces

A runner's dream in mysteriously enchanted foot wear.

(this song by jim guthrie is amazing)

chit chat

Stormcloak guy in the blue palace, he was bummed that he had guard duty, and a cousin fighting dragons. I tried to tell him about Bucky McAnvilstand the boxing corpse, but he didn't find it funny.

apprehension

There are some places I have not been comfortable walking into. I am a terrible wizard, and this is a tomb made of graves!

This rings of 32 bit rpgs in some conceptual echo, though distantly related.

meeko's shack

This is Meeko's shack. He is a noisy little bastard.  You can come up from the south to Solitude and if he catches a creek out of you it is this whole fiasco, Meeko! Stay! Paws down. No!

Pause

Stop for a drink when you can.

South of the Swamp

There are one or two cells of the map in Skyrim that greatly resemble the mix of woods where I grew up as a kid, and did a lot of camping and hiking. I find it very relaxing to just walk around and take pictures like I did back then. Giant Frost Spiders weren't so much of an issue.. but times change.

The fastest way down

Hey 2000 Steps of Hrothgar, made a pilgrimage to yo mama last night.

Cope

Being in places like this in a blizzard really make me feel better about the winter outside my actual door. It looks like summer out there in comparison!

Swamp Pad

I just can't get enough of this creepy cabin in the woods. I have no idea who it belongs to or what it is for, all I know is that the ground is so stamped up around it by feets that nothing is ever gonna grow there.

Loiter

Heart Star the Dovahkiin loiters in Whiterun while the shop keepers in the market decide if they want to open.

Of Swords and Sorcery

I play a great deal of the fantastic Super Bros.: Sword & Sorcery EP on iOS and believe it very strongly to be one of the best mergers of video game imagery and music. I thought that this early dawn photo was evocative of the imagery of S:S&S EP, especially the dream world stuff.

Sea of Ghosts

This was taken at the side of an impromptu mountain pass I was making between a few trees. You can see permanent frost most of the foliage has this far north in Skyrim, as well as some of the icebergs out in the sea. Lonely, but good hunting.

Quiet Caution

Just a word of advice; don't mess with or antagonize the Giants. Not only because they are quite strong and surprisingly fast for their size, but also because if you do come out on top after a fight it is never not sad. Once these folk are dead, they're gone.

Fountain

The College is a rather stark place outside of the dorms, which isn't a bad thing. They don't mince words about their isolation both physically and ideologically from the rest of Skyrim. You really get the impression from bits of the scenery that it was a really jumpin' place like 200 years ago.

Dark and Under

I defended Oblivion's more generic qualities with statements about how entertaining its deep dark places filled with monsters was. The above ground components were almost too ideal, but of course there are arguments against that as well. I believe this is Saarthal, one of your first quests as a new student of the College of Winterhold.

Draw Your Dovahkiin

This is mah Dovahkiin 'Heart Star', a salty Nord who made her bucks smithing' an swingin' before she found out she bleeds skypuppy juice an eats skypuppy SSOOOUUUULLL.

College

Mage's College at Winterhold. This chick made me cast fear on the floor before she'd lead me across the bridge to Harry Potter Land.

Bonfire

Skypuppy deaths are one of Skyrim province's best ways to keep warm during a blizzard.

Dorm Life

I spend a good deal of time at the College in Winterhold, despite being a terrible student and a terrible magic user. They seem to know how to live life at their own pace, kick back and stack some beers around the magelights. Occasionally a student is exploded to death, or turns into a frost troll or something, but usually it is pretty laid back.

Sandbox

I have found that to get the maximum enjoyment and appreciation out of a sandbox game you've really got to put parameters on yourself like goals, and to just make your own fun. Like playing a round of 'Berg Jumping, or as the local Nords call it 'We Found Her Frozen To Death Last Spring'

Skyhorse

For some reason.. a horse? In like, the sky??

I guess skypuppies need SOMEONE to play with up there.

Borealis Simulator 3

If you can manage to get north to the Ghost Sea when it is actually clear out, for the love of Dibella look up once in a while.

Ritual

Dude by this time next year everybody's house is gonna have a blood oath floor lock, mark my words!

Ahhh..

Breezehome you old scoundrel! How many times have I run into the smithy's shop thinking it was you? Is Lydia still upstairs drinking from that empty cup? Ahh some things never change.

Deluxe Cavern Skylights

Only if you pony up for the deluxe model.

Battle Sit

Dovahkiin stops stabbing this skypuppy a moment to pose for this snap. She looks like she's just chillin on there like a badass.

The Land of Wind and Ghosts

This is Conan's house.

Boom!

I can't take credit for this kill, that was all Max von Splodeydrawers. Guy had that spriggan blowing up all kinds of crazy.

Silent as a leaf

Sssshhhhh....

Bad guy

Dovahkiin started out smithin' hard and swingin' whatever two handed monstrosity she could find; hammers, axes, swords, you name it she swung it. Eventually though you just gotta give a bow a chance, and by golly if sneaking around knifing people isn't too far behind that.

Album Title

You can just hear the distant drums, or a cello that is like, a thousand feet tall being bowed.

Bobby Ross would weep

The dudes who made this game must have looked at every piece of modeled scenery from just about every angle while they fought to put the pieces down and then anchor them so they aren't broken and split open for us to fall through, but I wonder if they took pictures of it along the way?

Krosis

Nothing beats putting a weird smelly mask you pulled off a bastard rough lichking and picking around the sewers of a strange city. I mean, this is what dragon blood is all about amirite?

Wunderkind

Oohh look at me, I'm too good to go out and help the Dovahkiin slay that dragon, ooohh I have so much work to do collecting dust from around the Jarl's throne in Dragonsreach oohhhhhh..

Yeah I never let this guy get any rest.

Liberty

I may or may not be at liberty to discuss the location in this photograph.

Borealis Simulator 2

It is like Dave from 2001 is sending rainbow bedsheets down on us from heaven!

Hey Guy

This dude and his wife were actually telling a priest of Mara to eff off while I took this. I kept ducking (sneaking) behind the priest to get a different angle, and after this guy would run after me and stare like I was gonna set fire to his crappy bar.

Sigh

This picture makes me sigh.

To Skyrim

Most of the cave exits to open space look like this, as opposed to Oblivion's doorways. I mean think about it. Every single space in oblivion was walled off with a door. A Door!

Pelagius Wing

The lady who I sweet talked into letting me in here mentioned that they only go inside 'for regular cleaning' ...

Looks good!
